Another stepping stone

Being a naturally optimistic sort, I find it difficult when surrounded by negativity. This may mean nothing to you, but when someone said it to me it opened up a whole new way of travelling the path. Very empowering!

Don't light a candle - it will give your position away. Better to invest in a pet snake and get them to guide you through the dark.

Val,
So much wisdom in so few words! We are prone to cry endlessly for all our difficulties, but such messages are required to shake us up every now and then.

Just catching up on your blogs - and this entry has been something that I have been reminded of recently! As I was sulking my was through the 11 o clock Christmas eve service I was actually (gasp!) paying attention to Janet's sermon. She mentioned lighting a candle and not cursing the dark and the other 2 things that most spoke to me were of someone who told her of a picture of Jesus dancing through the dark - something I would aspire to! And also to pray about casting less of a shadow on the world and more of a light. Just passing on something that spoke to me :)
Also had a great time the other day at St Wite's well... if you ever fancy a stroll its well worth calling by. Not as revered as the Irish wells but peaceful and with the added bonus of healing eye problems. This led me to find: http://www.pd49.dial.pipex.com/places/wells/wite.html which then followed onto http://www.labyrinthsociety.org/index.phtml which I havent fully explored but the idea of a daily labyrinth is appealing! Hope you are well and send my love
